Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the $2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, also known as the CARES Act. The legislation, approved by the Senate on March 25, includes a provision permanently authorizing nurse practitioners (NPs) to certify and recertify home health care services for Medicare patients,
PLEASE NOTE: The president needs to sign, then administrative rules have to be written by CMS. Once this is done, then your specific agencies will need policy changes to allow NP to certify and re-certify Medicare patients for home care. Full message attached.
