AANP certified NPs: need your vote!

Posted about 1 month ago by Jeanette Thibault

As a Nurse Practitioner certified by AANPCB, you are eligible to vote for your Commissioners. We encourage you to take a minute to vote. Elections are held every October. The Board of Commissioners (BOC) governs the actions of the certification board and its certification programs. The BOC is responsible for ensuring that the mechanisms are in place to provide a valid, reliable, quality, and legally defensible certification program for eligible nurse practitioner candidates and NP Certificants.

Elections opened on Sunday, October 10th and will close on Saturday, October 23rd at midnight (PST).

The election is for three Commissioner positions representing two Family Nurse Practitioners and one Adult-Gerontology/Adult Nurse Practitioner.

  • To be elected a Commissioner, eligible candidates must receive a majority vote.
  • The ballot contains the names of seven qualified candidates (four FNPs and two AGNP/ANPs).
  • You may vote for two FNP candidates and one AGNP candidate.
  • Once elected, duties on the Certification Board begin January 1, 2022 for a 3-year term.

By voting, you will be entered into a drawing to win a waiver of your next Recertification Fee!

Voters participating in this election will be entered into a random drawing in which AANPCB will award four Certificants with a voucher to cover the application fee for their next certification renewal. Winners will be notified by Monday, November 1, 2021.
