Position Description

Houlton, Maine: A respected critical access hospital in northern Maine invites an experienced Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join their team. This is a hospital-employed position in a modern outpatient setting as the hospital shifts away from performing deliveries to focus its Women’s Health services on gynecology, diagnostics, and continuity of care.

Enjoy a comfortable 4-day workweek with no call. You will manage a dedicated panel of patients, supported by a well-trained clinical staff. The practice emphasizes preventive care and the management of common gynecologic concerns across the lifespan. Office-based procedures may include Pap smears, colposcopy, IUD/Nexplanon placement and removal, endometrial biopsy, pessary fitting and maintenance, and both abdominal and vaginal ultrasound.

Become part of a mission-driven nonprofit serving Aroostook County, with an excellent reputation for personalized care and strong community ties. The hospital features a new Women’s Health clinic space, built to support this focused service line.

The hospital offers an excellent compensation and benefits package that includes relocation assistance, health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, liability coverage, a CME budget, and assistance with student loan debt. Enjoy the security of hospital employment with a collaborative nonprofit system.

With a strong sense of community and a slower pace of life, Maine is ideal for those seeking natural beauty and a balanced lifestyle.
