Schedule
Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with rotation to work every fourth weekend. The weekly schedule will be adjusted accordingly when a weekend is worked.

Clinical Knowledge
- Demonstrates knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, presentation and epidemiology of medical conditions relevant to area of practice.

Identifies age specific competencies for direct and indirect patient care for the following groups:
- Adolescent 13-19 years
- Young Adult 20-40 years
- Middle Adult 41-65 years
- Older Adult over 65 years
- Master’s degree
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience
- Minimum of two years’ experience as an RN in acute and/or ambulatory care setting. State and Federal DEA Certificate as required.
- Experience with emergency/urgent care and associated procedures, phlebotomy, IV insertion, previous Nurse Practitioner experience, and travel health counseling.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate Excel skills
- Previous experience with an electronic medical record
- Ability to organize tasks, problem solve, and respond in times of multiple demands and urgent situations
- Licensed in Massachusetts with authorization to practice as a Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of Massachusetts
- State and federal DEA certificate
Physical Requirements:
All Harvard University Health Services (HUHS) staff and staff affiliates are considered Health Care Workers and as a condition of employment must provide documentation of the following:
- Letter of good health from your health care provider.
- TB skin test or blood test (IGRA -T-Spot or QuantiFERON) within the past 1 month or, if known test positive, documentation of previous chest x-ray, and information about any past treatment.
- Documentation of immunity (i.e., positive antibody titers) for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella.
- Proof of appropriate past immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella.
- Hepatitis B vaccine series – required for staff with possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
- A current flu vaccine (this season).
- Lifting (approximately 20 to 30 pounds), bending, and other physical exertion
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- May be required to work nights and weekends
