Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Cardiology) Locum Tenens Job – Philadelphia, PA

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) locum tenens assignment in Philadelphia, PA. This is an on-site role within a Medicine–Cardiology setting supporting cardiovascular/heart care services. Outside of work, Philadelphia offers a vibrant mix of dining, arts, and historic neighborhoods.

  • Location: Philadelphia, PA (On-Site)
  • Start Date: March 16, 2026
  • End Date: June 14, 2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks (approx. 90 days)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, AM shift (08:00–17:00); 5 × 8 hr shifts
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Setting/Unit: Medicine – Cardiology (Cardiovascular/Heart Care)
  • Openings: 1

Compensation

  • Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $3,690–$4,370 per week

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) Requirements

  • Experience: 2 years Nurse Practitioner experience preferred; 1 year clinical specialty practice experience preferred; 1 year outpatient/ambulatory experience preferred
  • Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Licensure: Active Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner certification/registration required
  • Licensure: Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Licensure: Multi State Compact RN License required
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Skills: Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and care coordination in a cardiology setting
  • Technology: EPIC EHR experience preferred
  • Other: Prescriptive authority preferred

Key Responsibilities (Medicine–Cardiology)

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients within the Medicine–Cardiology unit in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Prescribe and manage medical therapeutics in accordance with scope of practice, Pennsylvania regulations, and evidence-based cardiology guidelines
  • Deliver advanced practice nursing care and perform a wide range of patient care activities aligned to cardiovascular and cardiac care needs
  • Document assessments, treatment plans, orders, and follow-up care clearly and efficiently in the designated electronic health record (EHR)
  • Promote a safe, therapeutic environment that supports patient privacy, comfort, and emotional well-being
  • Provide culturally responsive, ethical, and professional care to patients of diverse backgrounds
  • Coordinate care with nursing, case management, and specialty services to support continuity of care and optimal outcomes
