S 0657 passes the Senate

Hello All:  To keep you up to date, Senate bill 0657 has passed the full senate.  It's sister bill H6485 will be heard in the House HHS committee this week. Passage seems good.

These bills are significant for 2 reasons:  1. The senate bill was introduced by State Senator, Pam Lauria (D-32) and 2. It prevents NP contractors from having non-compete clauses. This is key if a practice closes or an NP wants to leave a practice and her/his patients want to follow. Physicians have had this in statute for many years.  Time for us!!  It removes one more significant barrier to our practice.

If you are an AANP member, you received notice on this from Jamie Kings.

If you have any questions, please let me know!!
